+About The Album
  • Nature has intensely influenced the entire spectrum of Indian Classical Music since time immemorial. The various Ragas were created to perfectly blend with the inner emotions nurtured by the elements of nature. The notes, tunes, rhythm and melody of all Ragas and Raginis in classical music have evolved from the natural sounds. This album manifests through music the five elements that are believed to constitute our universe.
  • Earth - The soul of the earth has been brought to life by legendary composer Vanraj Bhatia. Through his vibrant melodies, he expresses the natural mysticism of the vast earth beyond the understanding of any human. He has paid his ode to the earth emphasising the phases of creation, fertility, destruction, sustenance of countless lives and its connection with heaven
  • Fire - Fire is generally associated with the emotion of fury. The uniqueness of legendary composer Bhaskar Chandavarkar is how beautifully he portrays the different shades and spirits of fire. His intense music reminds how fire can illuminate in darkness and purify. Fire can be enchanting as the auroras of the sky, soothing as a firefly, destructive as a forest fire and inevitable as the inner power of a soul at its awakening
  • Water - The maestro Pandit Shivkumar Sharma presents the mellifluous tunes of water at its various facets through the sonorous notes of the Santoor. He starts with a devotional offering to the Ganga, the lifeline of India. The tranquillity of a lake, the refreshing peace of a dewdrop and the rejuvenation of walking in the rain are expressed in his melodies alongside the extreme turbulent feels of Samudra Manthan (the churning of the sea)
  • Space - Tabla maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain presents a melange of the different rhythms of vibrations of space. Through this powerful music, he unveils the magical charm of the space in sync with a deep sense of spirituality
  • Wind - Legendary flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia expresses the soft and melodious tunes of the variations of wind with his flute. The wind that offers the breath of life is the same wind that blossoms spring in nature as well as creating the fierce cosmic storms
